Chemical equipment (the English name is Chemical Equipment) is a part of chemical machinery. Chemical machinery consists of two parts. The first part is chemical machinery, mainly referring to equipment such as fans for fluid transportation, compressors, various pumps, etc., whose main components are moving machines and are generally called chemical machinery. The second part is chemical equipment, mainly referring to equipment whose components are stationary, such as towers for separation, containers, reaction equipment, etc. Sometimes it is also called non-standard equipment. The division between chemical machinery and other machinery is not very strict. For example, some pumps and motors used in chemical processes are also common equipment used in other industrial sectors. Similarly, there is no strict distinction between chemical machinery and chemical equipment in the chemical process. For example, some reactors often have moving machines. 

All chemical machinery, including chemical equipment, are the tools used in chemical factories to carry out chemical production. The normal operation of the chemical product production process, the control and guarantee of product quality and output, cannot be separated from the adaptation and normal operation of various chemical equipment. The selection and configuration of chemical equipment must be achieved through detailed calculations, designs, processing, manufacturing and selection throughout the entire chemical production process, and it must be adapted to the requirements of chemical production.

There are numerous types of chemical equipment, and there are various classification methods. For example, they can be classified by structure and material, such as carbon steel equipment, stainless steel equipment, and non-metallic equipment. According to the pressure they can withstand, they can be divided into high-pressure equipment, medium-pressure equipment, vacuum equipment, and atmospheric pressure equipment, etc.
